DEVYN DUEX (Founder/President & Artistic Director), named as one of the Top Women in Business by the Pacific Coast Business Times, has an eclectic background performing extensively in the United States as a dancer/ actress/singer on stage and in film/TV. Devyn has performed with the James Sewell Ballet, Straw Hat Players, The Pittsburgh Playhouse, Cabrillo Music Theater, Buena Vida Productions, Universal Pictures, American Entertainment, Moorhead State University, Cabrillo Music Theater, Skits Outreach Company, and more. With her prior dance company, Universal Dance based in LA, she performed at over 200 events in two years; performing in the US/Internationally. As a choreographer, Devyn has had the opportunity to work with the Pittsburgh Playhouse, Pittsburgh Playhouse Junior, Straw Hat Players, and Fargo Elementary School choreographing for the Theater. Since moving to Santa Barbara in 2003, Devyn has dedicated her energy to modern dance, working with Motion Theater Dance Company, SonneBlauma Danscz Theater, and independent choreographers: Marcos Duran, Heather Shea, and Nicole Helton “As We Are”. Her new work “Release” was debuted in 2008 & 2009 in collaboration with the Fusion Dance Company’s show Intertwine and Daughter of Zion Dance Company’s show Je’ Taime, and reworked in 2012-2013 into a six section piece debuted under Nebula, as its fourth original new work ‘Sand Into Glass’ in 2012 and 2013 to sold out houses. In 2015 she was proud to premiere Nebula’s 9th new original work Push & Pull in collaboration with choreographer Shelby Lynn Joyce,  ‘If Strangers Weren’t Strangers’ a comedic work exploring social interaction, and most recently collaborated to choreograph a scene in Through the Looking Glass. Devyn holds a BA in Theater Arts- Musical Theater from Point Park University and an MBA/MKT degree from the University of Phoenix. She is a member of SAG and AFTRA. Devyn would like to thank her husband Shawn for his continued support, and her two children for their constant examples of movement expression and unconditional love.


CHLOE ROBERTS (Choreographer/Dancer), Chloe was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she began her training at the age of three. She has trained with North Harris Performing Arts, Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre, and Boston’s Urbanity Dance Company, among others. Chloe is trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, musical theatre, hip-hop, ballroom, acrobatics, and improvisation. Her primary training came from Dawn Dippel and Amy Cain, owners of North Harris Performing Arts and founders of Revolve Dance Company. She has had the pleasure of training under Dawn Scannell, former ballet mistress of the Houston Ballet, Dominic Walsh, Artistic Director of Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre, and Domenico Luciano of the Teatro di San Carlo Ballet School in Naples. She has worked with esteemed choreographers including Eddy Ocampo, Jodinik Jo of the Centre du Danse Marais in Paris, Desiree Robbins, Sharon Wong of Alvin Ailey, Valerie Madonia of the Colorado Ballet, Tucker Knox, and Andy Noble. Chloe has worked with the Prague Shakespeare Company as well as Studio Dance Perfect, also located in Prague.  Some of her earliest stage experiences were with the Broadway international touring company of The Wizard of Oz with Mickey Rooney and Lillian Montevecchi. Chloe was awarded multiple top ten titles for both solo and group pieces during her competitive years. Chloe teaches at studios across the United States and her work has won titles at both regional and national competitions including Showstoppers, Nuvo, and JUMP Dance Conventions. In 2012 Chloe founded Terpis Contemporary Dance Company in Durango, Colorado which performed for three successful seasons before Chloe relocated to Boston. During her time in Boston, Chloe performed as a  company member of Boston’s Urbanity Underground and Reject Dance Theatre. Chloe is currently a  resident teacher and choreographer at Santa Barbara Dance Arts in Santa Barbara, California and continues to choreograph for studios across the world.



MEREDITH CABANISS (Choreographer, Rehearsal Director, Lighting Designer, Dancer) Meredith Cabaniss is a multi-creative artist based out of southern California. She graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BFA in Dance. During her studies she was a Regent’s Scholar; member of the UCSB Dance Company; and received undergraduate honors including an Undergraduate Research Award for her departmental Honor’s Project, the Corwin Award for choreography, and other departmental awards. During her time at UC Santa Barbara, Ms. Cabaniss also studied with Batsheva Dance Company and obtained her 200-hr CYT in Vinyasa yoga. After graduating, she continued her studies at Dance Education Laboratory at the 92Y in New York City and at Loyola Marymount University.

As the founder of Santa Barbara-based company selah dance collective, Meredith has produced and presented works throughout the United States in Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City as well as abroad in Europe and Asia. Her work has been commissioned by the University of California, Santa Barbara, Mendocino College, and Elevated Dreams Aerial Performance Group. Ms. Cabaniss also currently serves as artistic director of Növus Dance Project in Los Angeles and assistant director and resident choreographer for Nebula Dance Lab in Santa Barbara. She travels internationally and nationally as a dance educator while pursuing her MFA in Dance at Hollins University in conjunction with Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, the Frankfurt University for Music and the Performing Arts, and the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company (formerly the Forsythe Company).




MEGAN MORELLI (Office Administration) was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she took her first dance class at age three and hasn't stopped dancing since. She completed her college education with a minor in dance at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and hopes to someday return to earn and MFA in dance. While at Cal Poly, Meghan danced and choreographed with the Orchesis Dance Company, for which she received several rewards; the Sonia Sandoval Memorial Reward for her passion in dance, the Moon Ja Minn and Paul T. Suhr Most Deserving Dance Student Award, for her dedication to the company, and the Tomczac-Carter Award for her outstanding performances. Meghan danced alongside some of the greatest collegiate choreographers and dancers on the west coast at the America College Dance Festival during her senior year. After graduation she danced with Variable Velocity Performance Group under the direction of Diana Stanton and Jude Clark Warnisher in San Luis Obispo. Meghan is a new resident of Santa Barbara, where she teaches dance to many great young dancers at Studio B in Carpinteria. She is blessed to have this opportunity to dance with Nebula Dance Lab and join their creative collaboration.
